| This is Invalid Hijacking the OP to repost Frost's Original Post for this thread:Since there really isn't much established info about the CAPs outside of estimation and guessing, I decided I would make a thread for discussion. Here, talk about what sets you've used on any of the CAPs and describe how they've performed for you. Feel free to include anything they work well against, as well as any counters and checks you may have encountered. The rest is Steel's post:@Diogo: Look at the movepool constraints again. - Quote :
- There are some moves the Pokemon will get automatically: Protect, Substitute, Hidden Power, Toxic, Return, Frustration, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Facade, Round, Swagger. In addition to those moves you are allowed to assign it 8 Moves. If one of the moves is Sketch, you will only be allowed to assign it 4 moves total, Sketch + 3 others. Moves with 100 or more Base Power will take a move off the total as well, for example if you give it Snearing Shot, you will only be able to give it 6 other moves. V-Create is a special case which will take 2 Moves off the list, so with it, you will only be able to teach it 5 other moves
@Invalid: I have a question: Can certain-typed Pokemon be allowed to get certain TM/HM moves, without the movepool restriction? For example, basically all Ice-typed Pokemon learn Ice Beam, all Electric Pokemon get Thunderbolt, etc.

| I've thought of that and considered it, but I feel that doing it would make the movepools too big. I want to keep the movepools small so you have a general idea what to expect when you see a CAP. It's a lot to keep in mind. | |

Cool. I will be editing the movepools for my CAPs shortly.

| We've found Goulia to be very broken, we're going to nominate it to CAP ubers unless it loses magic guard and a lot of Defense. Figured it was more fair to give you a heads up instead of just waiting for noms. | |

Thats fine, I didn't intend to make a broken Pokemon. How much defense would it have to lose to remain in standard? @Frost: What type is Golette? Steel / Ghost, or something else? Also, shouldn't Golette be able to learn Swords Dance, just going by its concept?

| @Steel I'm thinking it will need to drop to about 70 Def. You could always just leave it broken and give us our first Uber : P Oh, and here's the set that was doing good so you can get an idea of how it played:
Goulia (Abra) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature - Calm Mind - Shadow Ball - Aura Sphere - Dark Pulse

| I forgot to list the type. Fixed. (Invalid already knew it through skype)
We thought about swords dance but decided that it would be too broken, so I chose bulk up.

| Weights as I've reasoned
Goulia: 48.1kg (Alakazam + Tshirt) Explocanus: 80kg (Typhlosion + some dirt) Lycanite: 34kg (Werewolfs weigh the same as people (dawn's weight)) Krush: 265.2kg (Dawn's weight times the density of Steel 7.8 ) Electricle: 40kg (there's nothing to go by from it's description, so we just picked it) En-Ghoul: 27kg (It's based on the weight of an empty suit of light armor) Bizzarnival: 30.1kg (basically I gave it an anorexic human weight and added some for the exoskeleton)
Seem reasonable? These can all be changed.

| The weights seem reasonable to me.
Also, is Karakia going to be included on the list, or is there just one Pokemon per person so far? If it is one per person, I would rather Karakia be included instead of Goulia, since Goulia is likely to become an Uber.

Ok, that makes sense. I thought that you meant one Pokemon total per week when we talked.

| En-Ghoul's new weight is 27 Kilos. This is based on the weight of an empty suit of chain mail, which is not exactly what En-Ghoul is, but it is the closest estimate. | |

| @Supergassy: all Pokemon learn certain moves, even if they exceed the 20 move limit. Four of those mvoes are Hyper Beam, Hdden Power, Substitute, and Protect, all of which ar included in Horsear's movepool. If you wish, you can replace those moves with other moves that may be good for Horsear to have, since Horsear would getthose moves anyway.
@Frost: I think that Ingrain would fit Macarbre well, since its basically a sad tree.

| Ingrain was considered during development, but then it would usurp Smeargel's monopoly on Ingrain Baton Pass, and we figured this thing didn't need to be anymore of a special snowflake than it is However, I appreciate the input Steel! :3 | |

| This is the En-Ghoul set I run: En-Ghoul (Golett) @ Leftovers Trait: Technician EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def Careful Nature - Bulk Up - Substitute - Shadow Sneak - Drain Punch The set is intended to work as an alternative to CM Latias. En-Ghoul's main advantages over Latias are its immunities and its better coverage. Each Pokemon has a different variety of Pokemon that are safe for them to set up on. En-ghoul's biggest disadvantage when compared to Latias is its lack of natural physical bulk (the type of bulk it sets up in), while latias has great natural special bulk (the bulk it sets up in). Latias has recovery in the form of Roost, but En-Ghoul trades the 100% chance of recovery for Drain Punch which usually gives it recovery and adds to the almost perfect (bar goulia) Ghost Fighting coverage. This Table identifies Pokemon that En-Ghoul and Latias can set up on Pokemon | En-Ghoul | Latias | Ferrothorn | Sometimes | Yes | Bulky Water Types Carrying Scald | No | Yes | Chansey | Yes | Sometimes | Latias | Sometimes | Sometimes | Tyranitar | Yes | No | Mamoswine | Yes | No | Status only Pokemon | Yes | Yes | Average Special Attackers | Yes | Yes | Average Physical Attackers | Sometimes | Yes | Choice Locked Fighting Attackers | Yes | Yes |

| Wow, very impressive Invalid. FYI to the rest of you, you don't have to try this hard if you don't want to. This is supposed to be an informal discussion type thing. So yeah. | |

| Are we ever going to give Krush more moves? We don't have to give it anything ground breaking, but something like Dragon Claw would be nice. | |

| Well, we have two options, wait for Kroshnikov to come back, or start giving it "event moves". I say if Kroshnikov isn't back my the time the tier vote ends we start the event move process. We'll vote on one move per week, and each Event move will be incompatible with all other event moves. It'll be like our little time capsule of a Pokemon where lots of people get to add something of their own to it, which is kind of fitting since it's so much like Dialga. | |

| In that case we'll wait for him to come back, Maybe we'll make a "Time Capsule" CAP later. Too bad Doom Desire and Future Sight got stupid this Gen.
