| What do you think is the best move that was introduced in the 5th generation? Obviously, this only includes 5th generation moves, so keep that in mind. | |

| I think that shell smash was the best move introduced in the 5th generation. True, it does have limited accessibility, but it still is the ultimate set-up move. What do you all think? | |

| I like Scald, it wins me so many clutch matches. Other then that Shell Smash is pretty cool, but Blastiose should've gotten it. >:c | |

| I agree with SPS. Scald is a great move with a 30% burn chance. It can mess up Sweepers with the burn cause it lowers the Pokemon's offensive power. | |

| mmk, so i would say that the best move introduced in gen 5 is far and away volt switch. scald is all well and good, being a nice stab move for bulky waters to utilize, but it was never much of a game-changer, aside from making people question taunt over sub on stuff like gyara and haxorus (nobody would know wtf i was talking about if i delved into coil serperior). volt switch is just awesome, that's all there is to it. it granted pokemon like rotom-a (collectively) a klutch ability to hit hard whilst maintaining momentum, which is indispensable in such a fast-paced, hard-hitting metagame. plus, this move consequently produced volt-turn, the most prominent overlying strategy in the current metagame. so yeah, volt switch, cool stuff | |

| Scald and Volt switch are surely useful moves, but don't forget about how Hurricane is awesome. Also, Quiver dance is another great move and it gave Venomoth more respect in this gen. Overall, for me hurricane is the best move, just because I love it's great attacking power combined with specs and the lulzy chance of causing confusion. | |

| Defenetly Volt-Switch
Sure, Shell Smash is great, but Politoed is like the number one counter to that, and since he is like the #4th used on the ladder, I don't agree with trying to pass that around!
I am an offensive player, and Volt-Turn is the shit now, and Volt Switch is just better than lame-ass U-turn anyways, and it makes ROtom-W a whole lot better, kinda like it.
I hate Volcarona, just saying :J Oh, I also want to add Special Attacking Landorus, its like they want me to rage :c

| Coil is a great move that didn't get nearly enough coverage. But overall I would have to say Scald has had one of the biggest impacts move wise, bulky waters the ability to burn. Don't count out Quiver Dance, giving the 4x SR weak Volcarona a lease on life in OU. | |

| volt-turning around xd
i can't differ of what you've said until now.
scald, volt switch, shell smash and hurricane are probably the best moves introduced...
the question now is, which is the best ability introduced on 5th gen? (prankster and/or magic bounce)

| this one is really hard, I mean best move? most used one? most competitive one? or the best move fitting your plystyle?
For me the best move would be V create because it's just cool and strong, like V CREATEEEEEE OAAAHHHHGGG!!!
But in terms of accesibility and competitiveness scald is pobably the one I pick. You may be so used to think "just send Gastrodon, Blissey or Celebi" and you block bulky waters, but go back to 4th gen. Back in DPPt Gyarados favourite set up victims where bulky waters, Scizor would come to U-turn them, Breloom hoped not to be Ice Beamed but Surfed or Toxic'd even bulkier stuff like Tyranitar, Machamp and company would fearlessly come and say hello, sucking one surf and killing something in return. Now with scald water pokemon have a magical answer to "what do I pick, a crippling move an aggresive move?" just by sacrificing 15 power base and a couple PP.
Mi english sucks so you're probably gonna hate me, but that's what I think lol.
And for the "best 5th Gen ability", I would go for Regenerator, simply use Slowbro on every team.
