What is it?
CANG stands for Create a New Game, we named it this because CANG is easy to pronounce compared to other acronyms we could have chosen. In the past we've had our own CAP project and the Gen-Next or "The Real Gen 5" metagame mods, but now we are going to combine those two ideas into a single mod, which means we will have a metagame where we can create new Pokemon, moves, and abilities, and edit existing Pokemon, moves, and abilities alongside other game mechanics.

Implementation:
We will have a team who are able to make changes to existing mechanics without voting to save time, but we will also accept mechanic changes that have been put to a vote. Custom Pokemon and moves will be exclusively added by vote.

Voting:
When someone has an idea for a change to CANG, they can post it in this thread. For it to be implemented, the forum's reputation system will be used to vote either for or against it. Once a change has 3 (the number is subject to change depending on the size of the project) positive votes and more than 50% of the votes are positive, it will be implemented. Don't be afraid of losing rep for posts made in CANG because negative votes don't hurt your reputation in this section. Changes include changing the way a mechanic works, adding a new ability, adding a new Pokemon, adding a new move, changing the power or effect of an existing move, etc. If it is not in the main game, this process applies.

What is and isn't possible:
Now we have a few less limitations than CAP did, those removed limitations include all the BST limitations, movepool size limitations, and all the Ability limitations (including the limit of only having 1 ability). We do still want a balance oriented metagame, so if you want something to be implemented, don't make it broken. We are also now able to make evolutions to both existing Pokemon and created Pokemon, but they will only be implemented as evolutions if they give the Pokemon an advantage with eviolite. In other words, if your evolution or pre-evolution doesn't have competivite value, it will not be implemented and will be considered flavor. Mega Evolution is not possible as of yet, if I figure out how to do it, it will be up for discussion.

Why are there changes that weren't posted in this thread?:
A few reasons. Somewhere around 40 CAPs were submitted to an old obsolete thread, and they were already implemented before this thread existed. There were also a lot of changes in the other mod we merged into this, that we kept. For any other change not posted in this thread, it's because the people behind the scenes (Invalid, Kingtrace, and Frost) agreed on the change and made it. If there is a problem with a change that has been made, whether submitted and voted in, or not, the changes can be nominated and voted out during a tier vote.

How to suggest a change:
Do not suggest more than 1 change in a single post. If you do that, voting will be impossible. Also this thread is where you post those changes.

For a new Pokemon:

For a new Ability:
Say exactly what the ability would do, and exactly what should get the ability.

For a change to a move, mechanic, existing Pokemon, or existing Ability:
Explain what you want to change.

Move Description: The users uses its vampiric charm to hypnotize the opposing Pokemon. The user drains some power from the target.
Actual Move Data: Checks for the lowests out of the target's defense and special defense. It lowers the highest stat by one stage. Then the user's corresponding offensive stat (attack for defense, SpA for SpD) is boosted by 2 stages.
Distribution:
 
In general, we gave it to anything that could be called a vampire in some way (Rapidash). We also gave it to pretty girls (Espeon), because they're good at hypnotizing people. A few things have it because they have some prop (Hypno) that would be good for hypnosis, or just because they like dancing (Illumise). We also gave it to every fossil Pokemon and a couple things because they could be justified as looking undead (Cubone).

Suggesting a change to Curse.

When a Ghost uses Curse it will sacrifice 50% of its health and curse the opponent to lose 25% of its health every turn, but also protect the user from damaging moves during the turn Curse was used.

When Self Destruct hits a target, it lowers the target's Attack and Special Attack by 1 stage.

Suggesting replacing Blaziken's HA as well as Mega-Blaziken's ability.

Replace Speed Boost with Reckless considering Blaziken already learns three recoil moves (High Jump Kick, Flare Blitz, and Brave Bird) to make it extremely strong, but it's still somewhat slow and somewhat frail so it wouldn't become OP like Speed Boost Blaziken is.

Suggesting two things:

1. Changing Sceptile's type to Grass / Dragon (as it learns several dragon moves already)
2. Adding Draco Meteor to Sceptile's movepool (as I believe that all fully-evolved dragons get the move)

Suggesting buff to Thick Fat:
A further halved damage from Fighting-type attacks than halved damage from Fire- and Ice-type attacks. (Y'know you just don't beat up a fat guy easily)

Suggesting a change to the distribution of illusion:

Give Illusion to Simisage, Simipour, and Simisear.

I think it's very boring to have only dark types with Illusion, and for them to rely on raw power to get anything done most of the time. This would make Illusion an overall move effective ability, because certain moves wouldn't give away your Pokemon's identity. Flamethrower could be on either Zoroark or Simisear. Grass Knot could be on Zoroark or Simisage. Simipour doesn't have any good cross-illusion-bluff moves, as I'd like to call them, but it does have probably the best offensive coverage of all the simi's so it can be good in its own right. This was always an idea of mine even before Cotnoir existed, but I realize now that by implementing it, it would allow Zoroark a few more uses over Cotnoir, which it really needs since Cotnoir is much better off than it. votes please.

Suggesting a change to Lilligant:

Typing: Grass/Fire

Additional Movepool: Flamethrower, Fiery Dance, Fire Blast, Ember, Fire Spin, Flame Burst, Overheat, (Ancientpower maybe as well?).

Reason: I've always felt Lilligant was especially connected with the sun, for a grass type, and I think it would suit her character to be part fire-type upon evolution. Truly embracing the sun after evolving with a sun stone and other sentimental crap like that.

Non-stylistically, Grass-Fire is pretty good, but not outstanding, coverage that I'd really like to see explored by someone who isn't Venusaur. I've always felt that Lilligant was held back by having only a Hidden Power for coverage. I mean seriously her movepool is terrible. She has access to basically only Grass moves.



Plus, I mean, how can you resist that? Seriously. You can't.

Concept: Vigneil is a snail-like creature that usually can be found in deep underwater caverns.  It has a light blue body, a dark blue shell, and many bluish green vines protruding mainly from the sides of the shell.  The 'shell' is actually a seed; the vines aren't just attached to the shell, they are growing from it.  The vines mainly resemble seaweed, however they are rather long, and Vigneil can actually whip opponents hard with them.  On it's face are to black eyes, and it has two small vines on the top of it's head as 'antennae'.

Concept: Feilot is a fairy-like being. It's main feature is it's two large, green eyes, which are said to 'see' some distance into the future. This ability allows it to predict where its enemies will go, and allows Feilot to adjust its tactics accordingly. These eyes also contain energy, as Feilots have been seen to fire energy blasts from their eyes at their enemies. This energy varies greatly in composition; it has been seen to contain fire, ice, and other energy forms. As for the rest of its body, it has a small, pale pink colored humanoid frame with a small, curled tail. It is almost always seen levitating, as it moves around faster while floating as opposed to using its legs.

Concept: Predofaiyel are intimidating Pokemon. Since they are adept at avoiding contact with humans and other species of Pokemon, legends have formed about them and they have long been believed to be cruel, relentless, and very powerful. Predofaiyel are calm and very calculated about their actions, and they avoid exerting extra energy unless they are pushed to the edge. When met with conflict, they will approach with caution and only attack when the aggressor reveals a weakness. They strike hard and swiftly, humans who have fought against them have reported to have broken bones before they even knew they were touched.

Predofaiyel are bipedal standing at about three feet high, they have mostly sheer black and pure white smooth skin with purple oval and line patterns spotting them. Their legs are thin compared to human leg ratios, their torsos are barrel shaped. Sleek arms extend from two to three inches below their elongated black-pointed shoulder blades, the measure of their armspan is approximately three feet. Their frog shaped heads feature smoky eyes, a small mouth and small nostrils.

Preferred Sprite: Ledyba

Concept: Bettellion are excellent pokemon of conflict.  While being very weak when defending, it's strength is so great it can break a tree with a single punch.  It is very isolated from humans except those who are expert battlers.  Betellion are said to compete with Heracross in the sport of beetle sumo, however, a match between the two species has never been recorded or seen.

Betellion stand at an enormous 7 feet and are similar to their rival, Heracross.  Betellion's arms have jagged edges to slice up environments and prey while it is on the journey of survival through murky forests. Along with its arms, its horn is not just jagged, but also barbed, which causes extreme pain to those who are insane enough to confront this monster. The thorax of Betellion is very short and heavy, unlike the abdomen of the species.  Their shell covers the four wings on its back, which makes it very agile.
