A Guide to Social Interaction Empty
PostSubject: A Guide to Social Interaction   A Guide to Social Interaction EmptyFri Aug 10, 2012 2:58 pm

So as of late it seems people on Breakdown, including our regulars, have forgotten how to speak!

This problem may relate to the recent developments of the zombie apocalypse and cannibalism attacks, as scientifical research shows, zombies don't have the thought power to speak.

However, that's no excuse, as even zombies can be reintroduced into society with the proper therapy!

So the thing here is, no matter how many people we have in the server, if there isn't discussion, they're just gonna leave. I know this may seem hard to believe, but even people on the internet can talk.

Yes, some of you may be thinking, "but frost we're just too busy battling! We're a pokemon server, that's what we do!" And i know, pokemon is serious buisness. But so is social interaction!

What is social interaction you ask? Well I'm glad you asked! According to Wikipedia:"An interpersonal relationship is an association between two or more people that may range from fleeting to enduring."

So, with this in mind, if there happens to be more than 1 person on the server than just you, it would be a good idea to try and initiate a conversation with them. if you're socially inept or boring, here are some topics that will even work for you!

What do you like to do on a rainy day?
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Would you rather be rich and ugly, or poor and good looking?
What do you do to stay in shape?
What is the last thing you do before you go to sleep?
What website do you visit the most?
(Try not to answer the last 2 honestly, it won't end well for you.)

You can find many more non-awkward conversation starters like this from http://www.conversationstarters.com/generator.php Great for the parties you won't be going to because you're playing PO!
